Game featuring Tyler, the Creator & Lil Wayne – Martians vs. Goblins

I don’t know if I’m the right guy to be posting this because all i want to do is slay the song with some harsh words, but i cant even do that The Game killed it and beat Tyler at his own game and the video was well executed so i cant even hate.

i call this post - “how to bake exactly 1 dozen chewy chocolate chunk cookies when you’re sick but your boyfriend isn’t so you need a way to get him to do the dishes.”

when i stayed home from work on tuesday i was mentally tortured by the fact that since i had gotten sick on saturday night zero dishes had been washed and the sink was filling up so much that i had to fill the tea kettle in the bathroom sink. however in my sickly state doing dishes sounded completely terrible. i needed isaac to do them, mostly for my mental health, but also because it was gross and i couldn’t cook anything. it took a lot of bargaining, but eventually he agreed to wash all of the dishes in exchange for 1 dozen chocolate chunk cookies.

it was important that there were only about a dozen cookies because i knew that no matter how many cookies i made, isaac was going to eat all of them. this recipe is 1/4 of my classic chewy chocolate chunk recipe and if you make it with a tablespoon disher, you’ll get exactly 12 cookies out of it. HOORAY!

12 chocolate chunk cookies - adapted for what i had in the house that day

1. cream together with a hand mixer the following ingredients:

  • 4 tbs or 1/2 stick of butter softened
  • 1/2 c dark brown sugar (this makes for a VERY chewy cookie)
  • 2 tsp really good vanilla
  • about 1-2 table spoons of skim milk

2. mix the dry ingredients separately and then beat them into the wet mixture (or just sprinkle everything over the beaters so they sort of get combined and de-clumped before mixing since you don’t want to make any excess dishes if you don’t have to)

  • 1/2 (+ a sprinkle more if you need it) all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt

3. Stir in 2 broken up chocolate bars (i used hershey’s milk chocolate because i had it in the house - but you can use whatever you like or about 1/2 c of chocolate chips)

4. Bake on parchment paper prepared pans at 350 degrees until edges are golden brown and crisp - cool to set and serve warm!

*** it is not a mistake that there is no egg in this recipe - you would literally need to use less than half of an egg for this recipe and i felt it was unnecessary to waste half of an egg - you could probably use a whole egg but then they’d be cakier cookies or you could use just the yolk if it makes you happy - however isaac liked these - they were skinny and bendy and crispy on the edges and they were a little bit greasy but that was exactly what he needed after working through a sink-full of dishes all alone : )
